John Cox

John Cox is a businessman and former top-two nominee for California governor in 2018. Raised by a single mom on the south side of Chicago, John is a Californiann by choice and has resided in San Diego for the past decade.

John attended the University of Illinois at Chicago, graduating with honors and a degree in Accounting and Political Science. John has worked as a CPA with Price Waterhouse Coopers, and in 1981 he founded his law and accounting firms. He later opened an investment advisory firm, a real estate management company, and a venture capital firm.

John is active in charitable and political organizations, and serves as a Board member for the San Diego USO, as well as the Chairman of the Advisory Board of CHANGE-CA.
